API First Product

Ason provides embedded payroll as a service out of the socket. Ason's API is not public, but is designed for the cloud. The Payroll API engine is installed where it makes sense for the platform operator.
The Ason Payroll API is a .NET core application and can run on Windows, Linux or macOS. Payroll data is stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database.
Inputs

Inputs (event: what happened) are received with time values (from when to when) in the platform at company or employee level.
Eeach event that happens to the employee (salary increase, accident, hours to be paid, change of department, etc.) is a "case". The case model is dynamically determined by regulations. This requires that the front end supports the dynamic input of a business case. (see video)
Payruns
​
The payroll engine always recalculates when the initial situation changes (including retroactive calculations, e.g. for changes made in January 2023 but affecting December 2022). Pay runs can be done in required time interval (even daily).

Reports
​
Required reports of payroll runs such as payslips, wage statements, cumulative/payroll journals, payment file, records for financial accounting, lists of master data, entries and leavings, insurance bases as well as individual reports.

Tasks
​
Tasks are generated for the back office for all activities that still need to be done manually for third parties but are not yet automated.

Adapter
​
Automatic transmission of data to third parties such as social insurances, tax authorities, banks etc.

Payroll Logic: No black box, but absolute transparency
​
The whole payroll logic is not hidden behind the API. The business logic (regulations) is detached from the Payroll API, resulting in maximum transparency.
